I was wondering... how do you close the sale?

Customer phones, asks for a price.... you give them a price....

Then what?

Whats the thing that you do to stop them phoning someone else and getting a better price from them????

Would you like me to book that for you (too pushy?)
Would you like some time to think about that (not pushy enough?)

Hey, I'm a great dj, but a crap sales closer.... HELP!

If they want to book your services, when you ask for there details they will be willing to give you there number and address so you can send them a copy of the contract's for them to read, sign and return to you. It will always help if you include with the contract's a stamped address envolope so they can send it back to you.

Also point out that the date is not booked untill you get the copy back. Also ask questions about the day like what church, how many guests and if there are going to be any kids. Also make sure you get both of there names and if all the parents will be there be frendly confident and not at all pushy. Also if you can offer extras free of charge do so like glow sticks for the kids even medals for the kids if you play games. We offer both these plus confetti connons for the first dance. All of these are built in the price as standard but we tell the customers we can offer them free of charge as every one likes something for nothing.

I ask questions about the people, the function, where, how long etc. Then go through some of the features and benefits of the service, give a price and check that that is affordable, then send out a confirming letter and colour brochure.

3 out of 4 enquiries handled in this way convert to sales.

Remember that, providing your price is not outrageous, it's about what you do not what you charge.

Normally manage to close the deal on the phone and wait for the initial payment to turn up after sending out a booking form.
