Let's Party by Jive Bunny

Does anyone use this song at Christmas? I discovered it while going through songs on my ipod. I love it, it always brings a smile to my face when it starts. I would have thought it would be OK to use at the upcoming christmas parties.

Before you receive some answers.......can you tell (please) what it is you like about the record?

is it the tunes used? The arrangement? The 'beat'?

Cheers
Leonna
It has a real fun introduction and then plays short bits of lots of different xmas songs with a the same funny intro bit in between each xmas song.

I hope this makes sense wacko.gif
High Fidelity
Have to admit that I don't like it at all and don't use it.

I love cheese and will happily play cheese all night, but for me it's just a bit too cheesy.

I might as well give it a try if the party seems to be going well and see what happens.

I think your all being a little hard on Leonna and Jive Bunny.

Our job is to play for the audience we have.

If Leonnas audience is getting on a bit thatn that track would be fine to play.It has actually been a number one as I recall.

There is a lot to be said for the occasional Mastermix you know.

Tight Fit and Back to the Sixties is nailed on to fill most dancefloors where I work.

I agree on this occasion, because I am aware of the venue, but there is no way this would get aired on a wedding, or a birthday party which is probably everyone else's viewpoint.

Leonna, just try it!

I don't possess the track, and if I did, probably wouldn't play it. It isn't that it's a bad arrangement, and I agree with what Leonna says about it being a good happy song, but it's just so.............. ummmm............ naff. tongue.gif

A bit like the Grease Megamix - I would rather play the original film soundtrack versions. Playing the megamix just robs you of several playable songs in one go.

I agree with Andy you will fill dance floors with the full versions if you got the right age group around if not that is when I would play it as the no offence the younge age group like the shorter versions like these megga mixs.
I prefer to play the full versions but that me and thats the great thing about music everyone hears it differently.
so long as they enjoy it thats all you ask
