Following a trend here... we've had the DJU polls for members most playable No.1s from each individual year since 1960 ish, and now we've grouped those winnering favs into decades and are voting for the best of the best of each decade - and in this poll, its the time of the 90's to be voted for.

I know which DJU Fav I'll be voting for, how about you?.

Got to be Whigfield.

Young or old - every disco I have to play it and it fills the floor.

I have to disagree with that.. I find the opposite, people sit down to this one. They will dance to Macarena, but not Saturday Night... Shame but... Even at kids parties (13-15 may dance to it, but the 10 and under don't really know it (released in 94 probably the reason!) They struggle through, but doesnt go as well as Macarena.

I voted for Livin La Vida Loca.... Play it more than the others I think....

Run DMC vs Jason Nevins: It's Like That

Played most often for me, and at the right time, the audience reaction is awesome notworthy.gif toot.gif

I found Gina G, played at the right time to the right crowd, to be a good bet.
Must agree with Run DMC though - I put that a close second.

Addition:
As I haven't actually 'done' a disco for a couple of years, my experiences of crowd reaction could well be a bit out of date........

I find Living Joy Dreamer works with younger parties, when they're around 18 or 21, Whigfield has killed the dancefloor before so don't play that too often and play Dan Hartmans version of Relight my fire, sound similar but less camp if you know what i mean!
