Okay so what do you guys reccommend as a decent passive monitor cab/s? Do you think it would be best to have two or would one just be okay?

What sort of power should I be looking at.. bearing in mind I use between a 1.6k rig on my mobile and a 3k rig at my res. I take it a little 50w plastic skytec cab wouldn't be suitable?

I saw these which looked okay

I don't want something too expensive as I won't be taking these to every gig, just under 18 nights, teenage gigs, 18ths etc...For other functions in-can use suits me fine if I have to beatmix which is rare. I can cope without a monitor, just I like my life as easy as possible LOL!

P.S I will be running them through a Warrior SB series amp (not the best but hey) so would like a passive cab, but if a cheap 40w active cab like these would be suitable then I will go active.

Should I be looking for near field monitors? or standard disco speakers?

And before Brian/Marky Marc suggest, I don't do split cue

I use 2 skytec 100w speakers fed by a carlsbro 200w powerline amp. The speakers are cheap tat ( approx £30 a pair off e-bay ) but they actually do a great job hidden on the floor behind my rig.

some for sale on e-bay
