What do you make of Madonnas new track Hung Up? The hype surrounding this track has been monumental. I do rekon it's a good useable track though, Madonna has a very succesful formula of reinventing herself with the help of the latest production tricks.
What do you make of it?

Played the sdp dub at a club last weekend and it went down really well.
Gotta love that abba sample

Im hoping its a "grower". Its not gone down particularly well once when i played it, but did alright during a "Who cares what the track is, so long as its got a beat" clubby-type session last weekend.
As far as the tune itself goes, I think the abba "gimme gimme gimme" sample is a bit overpowering compared to the other elements of the track - its almost saying "Like me because I've got an abba sample". Shame the Abba track is one of those soft-loud-soft-loud type tracks, otherwise it'd be tempting to mash the two together into some sorta 6 minute "MAbbadonna" track.

A sure fire hit due to the combination of the Abba sample, and the Madonna marketing machine.
I don't have "Hung Up" yet, but have started playing "Gimme Gimme Gimme" more. It was always a popular track, but this gives me an excuss to play it more.

I like it and I think when I get it I'll probably use it quite a bit, --for a while---
I've been playing gimme gimme regularly for ages and nearly always goes down well, especially with the female of the species.

Yep great track, it will be good for parties as both old and young will recognise the tune. I kept hearing it on the radio a couple of weeks ago and thought it was just some random abba mix. I could not find out who it was by as they did not say.
soon as I knew it was Madonna I thought this will be a biggie.
Some good music around at the minute thank goodness, about time too - mick

Bought it the other day as I'm sure it will be frequently requested if I don't play.
Can't say I'm keen on the other 2 versions on the CD though.
