My Martin Ego 1 is dead - plug it in and nothing at all happens.

I have checked and replaced both the plug and the internal fuses, and still nothing. I have opened up the unit and all visible cables and connections are ok and soldered.

Anyone with any knowledge of this item have any ideas as to what it could be?

The lamp is also OK. Im thinking its the power supply unit or something?

You've eliminated a number of possibilities. If you've checked that current is getting to the transformer it's either the transformer not working or it could be a damaged lampholder. Are there any reesistors that may have failed?

If I'm not mistaken the Martin EGO is very light, so it has a Switch Mode PSU instead of a transformer inside it. If you don't know your way around these, get it down to your local repair shop.
