Had a gig at the weekend where the walk from the vehicle to where I was setting up was quite a distance so, I decided to upgrade my sack trolley from the two wheeled to the four wheeled variety.

£30 from B&Q.

For the first time, I was able to stack my gear - two speakers, flight cased mixer and CD player and a box of cables was on the first load, another two speakers the amp, the lighting and another box on my second trip, final trip was four cases of CD's, a cd wallet, a brief case, a couple of bags and the laptop. I walked in with the Ulitmax stand.

Four trips when I normally make about 14!

Not only did it shave off about 10 minutes lugging but it saved my back too.

Can't find any reference to it online, it's just a simple blue thing with four wheels although it can be used as a sack trolley on two wheels.

I think I'll work on making it better/safer by fixing some strapping on it this week too.

Initially, I only got it for this one gig but it was that good that I think I will be taking it to every gig from now on.

signdammit.gif Been into B&Q this morning. Suppose I'll have to go back. wallbash.gif

I take it Richard that you can fit it in your car, as well as all the gear.

Yes Paul, it folds flat so I'm able to place it on top of the speakers in the back or standing upright in front of the passenger seat.

They also stocked an electric trolley reduced to £50 that I considered, but I was en-route to the gig so I didn't have time to build or charge up. That may be of interest too.

Just been to B&Q and got one £29.98

Have to say it's very sturdy and well constructed. 50Kg load capacity.

I'm sure it will get used at home as well as for gigs.

Only thing for me is, I'll have to have the wheels off and look at the bolts that go through the wheels. They seem to be too small to me.
BigBen
Glad you thought it decent enough to get one too, although I'd like to know your opinion on the bolts.

As well as adding a bit of strapping I'm going to stick some rubber on the metal parts for extra grip too.
