Hi,

I was given one of these mixers by a friend of ours and it seems to be in great condition - was in his garage for the last few years ....... but I cannot find out anything about the manufacturer or how I can get a manual.

The little I have found suggests that the company making them went bust several years ago. wallbash.gif

My question is ........... has anyone ever used one and if so was it any good ? Also any idea's where I might get a manual from for it ?

Thanks
Sharon

Cant help that much but i have read that the dynamix mixers are vintage mixers but very good! But your right even google cant find much on it!
I noticed a 16 channel mixer that retailed new at over 1000, so my guess is that they were/are good quality mixers. As for the manual, woulnt lose sleep over not havin a manual, after all all mixers are basically the same (just some have more gismos than others!) the set up should be easy by looking at the rear of the mixer?

i used one of these in my band, and they were [are] quite a respectable unit which cost above average at the time. i only got rid to get a powered mixer. they're probably less than 10 years old...i got mine about 8 years ago. i think Dynamix is an offshoot of a more famous company [like Ohm or Kudos] but i can't remember which one. worth hanging on to if it works ok

Gosh I think those Dynamix mixers were mid 1980's, they do look like the old Kudos mixers don't they, and these were all made by Whiteley Electronics of Mansfield, who used to make Stentorian Speaker Cabs and now make PA Systems for Trains and Telecomms interface products!!

yes, probably mid 80s come to think of it...funny how time flies when you're having fun
