thumbup.gif Ditto....

Although if I got away without playing "Born Slippy (Underworld)" it'd be no great loss to the night - as a song (almost) it rather sticks out from the rest of the 2 and a quarter hours of good party tunes that they've asked for.

I love Born Slippy!

I've spent many a drunken night singing "mega mega white thing, mega mega white thing, lager lager lager.... beer.gif "

Looks a good list Brian thumbup.gif

omg.gif fear.gif Gary, are you kidding? It's one of the BIGGEST tunes to play at a party for a large proportion of my gigs. Granted, it's not much use for a 50th & above, but I play it at 40ths, weddings, etc.. It's a great opportunity for the audience to go wild after some cheesy tunes, Darude - Sandstorm mixes perfecly into it once the boy of the song is over and the big drums kick in. notworthy.gif notworthy.gif

What a nice playlist, I'll be more than happy with that.... thumbup.gif

Oh oh...I should've explained that one in more detail.

Firstly - I like Born Slippy (Underworld), I like listening to it and I like playing it at the right sort of gigs. I'm yet to appreciate the sploshes of beer that get jettisoned from (nearly) empty pint glasses being waved over peoples head on the dancefloor ("Is it raining?" hide.gif)

Why I singled out the Born Slippy track was that its not as "universal" as the other tracks in the list. Indeed, the only associated (in "set" terms) tracks in the list would be Free (Ultra Nate), and Set U Free (N-Trance). Of course, as the list isnt one of those lists which the ENTIRE duration of the gig has been dictated eg: a 5 hour music list, then we've still got the artistic licence to slap on a couple of tracks to lead the audience into, and back down from the Underworld track - indeed, Brians mention of Darudes Sandstorm would probably be only a track or two away from the play of Underworld if it were my gig.

Rather than put in lots of quotes I'd like to echo just about everything that has been said.

Born Slippy is one of those songs that can make people go wild either because they like it or hate it. I only play this if asked but it has still managed to clear an otherwise busy dancefloor. The other one that has never appealed to me is 'Little Less Conversation'.

I don't have a playlist for Sat night but if I did I'd like this one please (in fact if the crowd are up for it I might just go for a lot of those songs and we'll compare notes on Sunday biggrin.gif )
