Now I imagine that I'm one of the very privileged few and there can be hardly any DJs in the country as lucky as I have been, and from the looks of things my luck is gonna hold out as the "peak" seems to have thankfully died down...

533.gif What the hell is he on about I guess you're saying biggrin.gif

Since the release of a certain record, I have never once had to play it and only ever received one request for it, but thankfully when it was asked for, the groom at the wedding was standing next to me and managed to talk the guest out of it so that I didn't have to play it (Phew!)

Now, you're still none the wiser, but it'd be interesting to see whether there are ANY other mobile DJs in the UK who have not yet ever played that piece of pooh.gif known as:

Crazy frog-Axel F.... and I intend to keep it that way and NEVER play it thumbup.gif

I've probably cursed myself now, and it'll be requested tonight by the bride fear.gif
brianmole
I have only played it once as a bunch of kids were going to kill me if I didn't comply
tonyj
At weddings, 21st etc etc have never played it, its pure pooh.gif and now they have ruined the 70's tune popcorn by use of the frog....

but...........

i do a lot of kids parties so have used it then. i normally tell the adults to put thier fingers in thier ears for the next 3 minutes... wallbash.gif

Played it twice - at weddings - special request for very young children within 5 minutes of setting up, at low volume and before starting officially.

It is, without doubt, one of the worst records ever made and I detest it.

Gary
I use it for kiddies musical statues (or Musical flamingos, if you're after a quicker game )

When you play it in bursts of 10-20 seconds only, its just about bearable.

Thankful the frogs cover of Pump up the jam, is so close to the original, that the original can be used without anyone missing out. (in fact, they'll be benefiting ) biggrin.gif
High Fidelity
Never played it yet, thank goodness. thumbup.gif

But all good things come to an end 014.gif , and it's on the music request list for a 21st next Sat. wallbash.gif

i actually was asked by an adult in his 30s to play it cos he liked it 533.gif but when i put it on i made a mistake whistling.gif and played the instramental version, axel f without the bloody frog.
so once and once only.

Hot Butter - Popcorn was a tune in its day! Quite 'modern' for the 70s!

Just distasteful how the frog has ruined an OK song! Now I'm sure there will be a negative stigma attached to hot butter - popcorn. 188.gif

I actually don't mind it- in extreme moderation. I'll play it when requested at the right time at the right event. Then again, we haven't had it as a common ringtone here either, so that probably helps.
damo1023
played it 3 times in one night at a school disco, was fed up with it after the first time.
when you have 300 kids going mad to it and coming back to ask for more though what can you do besides give it to them.

have threatened to use it a friends bday party unless they got up and danced ( typical 18th) to great effect.

I play it all the time - if they want to hear it, I'll play it. One sure way of getting the dancefloor full over the past few months.

Cheers,

Jack.

Blimey!, has the crazy frog leapt over to New Zealand already! fear.gif

I don't know how you would even describe a Crazy Frog track, I suppose it's a bit like describing the taste of vomit.

I also will play most requests, as long as I think the request will work on the dancefloor, or alternatively I may try to fit a request in during the meal if it's unlikely to get the dancefloor hopping (although very unlikely that I'd play the frog during the meal!).
My point about this awful track though was that it's only been requested once, and lucky for me the groom at that particular gig didn't want to hear it biggrin.gif

You are indeed a lucky man, Eskie 014.gif

Bring back the Smurf Song! smile.gif
Award Entertainment
Oh yes! A dance-mix of the Smurf tune, remixed by Crazy Frog. It's almost too much to dream for isn't it? Be still my beating heart. kid.gif
mick
No - Thank God - But ther's still time fear.gif
Corabar Steve
Twice only
RobbieD
Never played either Crazy Frog track, even though I carry both in the box.

I've only ever had one request for the Frog - from a kid, so I told him I didn't have it! I probably would have played it if an adult requested it.
KrazyKaz
I play it at every kids disco 014.gif
