Morning all, i was looking to buy a powred mixer the peavey xr800f plus but the guy dont have any stock but has offered me a Yamaha EMX5000 12 reckons its just as good. Anybody know owt about this unit...

Peavey a little bit cheaper

No the peavey is around 700 as its its the plus version, the yamaha is cheaper at around 500-600, but i wanted know if the yamaha is as reliable as the peavey, im currently using gemini 1600 amp with a behringer ub1204fx pro mixing desk on peavey 1012 impluses, but i want to go to a all in amp/mixer and use the latter as back up, i set my heart on the peavey but now the yamaha has come up.. dont know wot to do .

Both Peavey and Yamaha are more up-market than Gemini or Behringer which are both 'budget' brands. Make of that what you will....!

well i bought the yamaha guys and wot a piece of kit,it runs rings round the peavey. When i have used it for a few weeks i will write a review..
