What a great selection!

If I wasn't working, I'd offer to roadie free for you!

I often used to mix I Found Lovin' and Mine All Mine for obvious reasons.

You're The One For me - great memories. I used to start with the dub mix as an intro, then mix in to the A side version (back in the days when I would buy two copies of the best tracks).

Used to do something similar with the Unique track. The B side version has a great acapella intro which you can mix over a break in the previous track, whilst cutting the beat in and out, followed by a deck stop just before the beat comes in on What I Got. (Sorry I'm getting over excited now!!)

And just love Donald Bird! (A few weeks ago, a couple chose Dominos as their first dance!)

And Joy & Pain is just the best song ever....

That is gonna be a great party, and I know you're the man for it Ian!

I am looking forward to this because the guy who's birthday it is found me on the web, he used to be a punter at a club where I was the resident DJ for many years.

put my name in google and there I was.

He is also having the party in the same club where I was resident DJ.

Maze are a awesome band, Joy & Pain one of their best, but for me before I let go is the favourite.

Definitely one of my favourite bands of all time; I've seen them live 6 times, they are one of those bands that are absolutely superb live and really interact with the crowd and have the whole audience going crazy.
My favourite track from them is Happy Feelings closely followed by We Are One, Before I Let Go & I Love You Too Much toot.gif toot.gif toot.gif

I couldn't agree more!

I have it on vinyl, CD and......

......LaserDisc!!!
Yes they also recorded the concert on video. The LaserDisc has the same stereo soundtrack as the album (except only the best 7 tracks) and you can also watch them perform! (I believe it also came out on video tape, but that would of had a mono soundtrack in those days.)

This has reminded me, I must buy it on DVD . biggrin.gif

Unfortunately the CD is a shorter version than the original vinyl, but I still love it!

I had it on video, just ordered the DVD well done for finding it

No problem. I've just ordered it as well, along with the almost as good "Live in Los Angeles". biggrin.gif

(Note that you may need a multi-region DVD player to play these.)

there is also a live in london dvd as well

I saw that, but figured that the two "classic" live discs were enougth.

I've heard that when they performed at the Hammersmith Odeon 1994 (which that disc is of) they weren't as good as at their concerts in the 80's.

I could believe that; the last time I saw them was at The Albert Hall in 1999 and although they were still better than most live acts; they were nowhere near as good as the shows they did in the 80's; but then again when you take into account the Albert Hall ain't a great venue as far as I'm concerned; it has some strange acoustics, and they ain't exactly spring chickens anymore; so it's a little harsh to expect them to be able to perform with the same energy they did in the 80's when their shows went on for ages; the encores alone were as long as some acts whole show tongue.gif

I can't comment as I never got to see them live

big regret in my life
