Hi all

3 months ago brought Citronic CD1X cd players as (if you dont know as well as being able to use for disco's also reads CD-G so can be used for karaoke.)

Weekend whilst working CD 2 decided to stop reading discs for no reason at all have tried running a disc cleaner through but dosent seem to make a differance.
Only definate way to resolve problem was to power system off and wait 5 mins then seemed okay again.
Fortunatley saturday I was working with a carbaret act so was able to power off during there act so no dissruption to punters.

Brought from DJ Store so know under warranty but really busy at mo so cant afford to send away really.

ANY IDEAS ?????????

Cheers

I think warranty is the only way forward with this.

Most likely when the mechanism is hot a fault is showing signs, but on power off recalibration it rights itself until it gets hot again.

Definatley send it back.

Take it back & have a refund (not fit for purpose etc).

Just ak for it to be exchanged with another of the same model - there arn't an awful lot of CD-decks with the same features - you've just got a duff one, probably from an otherwse ok batch - the couriers had probably been watching Match of the Day in the depot again. rolleyes.gif

Definitely needs to go back under warranty. Could be a firmware problem.

I had a fault with one of my Pioneer CDJ800 decks. Would run fine for an hour then suddenly whatever was playing would speed up then rush to the end of the track. Turning off then back on would rectify the problem but it would then reappear after a bit more use.

Firmware was corrupted.

Sent it back under warranty, came back with new firmware dowloaded and has been fine ever since.

In my opinion, you should ALWAYS take out that spare CD deck with you, just in case.

Use that and then send it back like everyone else has said.

If you can get by, then all should be OK.
