Hi,

If you dont already know I have a pair of skytec 300w passive cabs atm with 15" bass drivers and peizo horns.

Now I recently blew a horn in one of the cabs so refitted it with one I found in the garage (as you do) and it sounds much less harsh than the original horn.

Anyway what im asking is it possible for me to upgrade the horns to something a bit nicer sounding instead of upgrading the whole cab because i feel the bass drivers are ok sounding but the tweeters are definately too harsh.

Thanks,

Daniel

No reason why you shouldn't do that. You might replace the horns with ones of a similar spec but better quality. Alternatively you may wish to fit compression drivers but you'd then need a passive crossover ( which I'm assuming is not required with piezo horns). In that case cost may become a limiting factor.
