im new to dj'ing and i was looking in to buying a setup...i was thinkin of getting a Numark 3-channel mixer(a good buy??) but i wasnt sure about what to get as far as a deck--i want turntables but i dont have technics money--whats the next best?

anyways, next best thing would be the Numark TT-X1 or TT-200, or the new vestex one (i dun no the name, sorry). Statons are good, but not very well built (very hollow compared to Numark or Technics)

BUT, the best choice is TECHNICS....even if that means waiting an extra month or two.....(they are club standard)

Mixer? You should aim if ur looking for numark the DX series, but i think the matrix 3 will do fine.... i dunno really

Between the main two decks mentioned, I'd go for the Numark TT-200's. I've used them alongside Technics SL1210's and "operationally" theres no notable difference. Whether they'll last 20 years each, like Technics MKII's have done, is something that we'll never know, since they've only been out 2 years, (and I doubt vinyls got 18 years left. )

If my aging technics went walkies tomorrow, I'd probably buy a TT-200.
