If I told you (lately)...that this was the year when Whitney Houstons version of "I will always love you" made it to no.1, you'll appreciate why there was only time left for 11 other Number ones this year.

Yes, Whitney held No.1 for 10 weeks of this year, and even up until the day before Valentines day the next year too... inlove.gif

Mind you, Shakespears Sister didn't do too badly (somehow) with "Stay" - since they managed to "stay" at No.1 for a whole 8 weeks, - 2 weeks more than the much more appealing (and dancable) "Rhythm is a dancer" from Snap.

KWS: Please dont go... and Erasures Abba-esque EP of abba-cover songs both held the top spot for 5 weeks each, with the shady bunch called the Shamen spinning themselves some marketing and holding the no.1 spot for a trip of 4 weeks with "Ebeneezer Goode", the same number of weeks that Wet wet wet's "Goodnight Girl" woo'd us.

A trio of artists hit No.1 for a trio of weeks each, with Right Said Freds "Deeply Dippy", Jimmy Nails "Aint no doubt", and Boyz II Mens "End of the road" all doing the business.

A duo of artists managed a duo of weeks at No.1 too. Both Tasmin Archers "Sleeping Satellite" (A song about SKY's customer service call centre perhaps tongue.gif ), and the ever popular rhetorical question from Charles and Eddie: "Would I lie to you?".

That was the year of No.1s from 1992? But which one gets your vote? 533.gif

Null vote for me, I would play none of the above. I may be tempted by Rhythm is a dancer, but that's it.
