I never thought to be honest of taking a camera to my gigs. Looking at some of your photo`s though I see its a good idea.

Who else take one??
AJS Mobile Disco
I take one occasionally as I'm trying to get some decent photos for a web site fear.gif but as yet my camera work has not been upto it. I'm sorry to say my standards are high and I haven't got there yet so I keep clicking away. You get very different results with flash and flash off (I know one will be brighter than the other) but light effects look great and even pictures of 'blurred' people can look good if the effect light is right. When I am happy I will show them off until that time the camera goes with me.

Andy's Camera is along as more of a comfort blanket sort of thing. Whenever I've visited him the camera is there, but i've never yet seen him use it.

I try and take it to every gig, but I always forget or am far too busy. I also don't like taking pictures of girls dancing - makes me feel a bit "Adsy" tongue.gif

Funnily enough, last week when I was on holiday at a UK Chav training camp, sorry...Haven camp site - (mind you they both have HAV in the title huh.gif ), the lifeguards around the pool weren't allowing either still photos or video to be taken around the pool area.

Theres obviously the invasion of privacy issues, together with problems of what some unsavoury types might do with such footage, especially (unfortunately) of children innocently playing.

A sad sign of the times. sadwalk.gif

But, from the point of view of this topic, if you're going to take photos or video footage at a disco, I guess that it would be wise to ask for permission - perhaps in a Readers Digest Tick Box type way...

EG: "I'm planning on taking a couple of photo's during the night, if anyones got any objections, please let me know before 9pm - thanks folks".

I try to take mine to each function.

Every Gig.

If you take enough, some are bound to come out good.

And like Anne says, some of the blurry slow exposure ones look quite good. (Need to keep the camera still though.)
High Fidelity
I take mine to most gigs, never manage to get any decent pics though. wallbash.gif
