Ok, i got my TTs down to 2 choices - TT-200s from Numark or the STR8-80x's from STaton - BUT i still need to know what mixer is suggested? One used for scratching most of the time....also, anyone care to explain mixers and its parts for me?
Thanks

For mixers for scratching its vital to get a mixer which has AT LEAST user changable/replacable Crossfader... some mixers also offer user replacable channel faders, and transformer switches (clicks) too. The more parts that you'll be "hammering" while scratching, which you can replace yourself from the top panel...the better.
Next....look for mixers with Smoooooth rotary adjustment of the Crossfader curve (where the left/right decks become audible/silent, as you slide the crossfader). Some mixers only offer a 3-way switch of crossfader curves...eg: Sharp, Mid, Soft curves...
Overall, however, its the "feel" of the whole unit, the spacing of the controls for YOUR hands, which will make a difference to you.
As for your turntable quandry... I'd go for the TT-200's....VERY nice decks. I've heard some disturbing views about the Stanton decks, with regard to the high amount of feedback being picked up by the deck, if you're working on a hollow stage, for example.
If my Technics went walkies tomorrow, I'd buy a TT-200.

Can't even buy records in my local town anymore, have to do a 40 mile round trip, so CD's since 1990.
