So he has been found inocent so we can play his music just like we always have
Corabar Steve
I don't play much of his newer stuff anyway. His talent has diminished with his skin pigment count.

If he was innocent it's good to see justice being done as it were, but I can't see him ever recovering from the whole thing.
centrestagediscos
the only person who knows the truth is michael jackson, but as a father i find the idea of him sharing his bed with kids very disturbing but the kids parents should never allow it to happen in the first place.
Corabar Steve
I agree, it's about time parents started taking responsibility for the wellbeing & safety of their kids again

I read that phrase as it noting the change in skin colour only as a sort of co-incidental visual timeline, rather than suggesting theres any link between skin pigmentation (or changes to it) and a persons talent, abilities or lack thereof.

As a preference, I liked the MJ tracks around the time of Billie Jean, Thriller, Beat It, Bad etc... The last few tracks have been a little less anthemic.

As for the court verdict! YIPPEE! he doesnt look it YET, but the poor guy must be relieved - right now, whats showing through is the understandable exhaustion and stress of suffering at the hands and words of those who would, and have told bitter twisted lies about him for so long - its they who should pay the price now. A hammer of justice in the face of those who would gang up on another person, for their own gain.

Michael Jackson is a free man, who may or may not wish to consider a change in his lifestyle, his generousity, his staff vetting procedures, and his attendance and all-day participation at childrens day-trips to his ranch. Being more cautious of his behaviour when holdng babies on balconies would be a good step to take.

I'll be moving that MJ greatest hits CD toward the front of the CD case this Saturday. thumbup.gif

Absolutely & he was still black when he recorded the tracks you mention. My remark was just for an indication of timeline as you say.

I think there was always something dodgy about his accusers, but he dosen't seem to have any concept of right or wrong. He has admitted tosharing his bed with children & can see nothing wrong with it

I would have thought that any rational person who has been through an experience like this would, indeed, be wise to think "I mustn't put myself in a situation where these allegations can be made again."

However, I heard an interview while driving to work this morning with someone "close to Michael Jackson" who says he will see it as a vindication of his actions; he will feel that people now "understand" his lifestyle and that he will have kids back staying over as early as TOMORROW.

Now, I have no way of knowing whether this "insider" is correct, but if MJ's family don't FORCE him to change his behaviour, then they and he are fools IMHO.

Members of the jury that were interviewed this morning said they brought in the not guilty verdicts because they felt there was not enough evidence to convict "beyond a resonable doubt" - which is as it should be. However, several went on to say that they are deeply uneasy about what he does around children. So if he takes this as a redlight to carry on he will just perpetuate what has happened over the past 2 years (if not longer).

I hope he has better advisors than in the past.

As far as playing his music goes - I think I'll let the dust settle a little. I'm a coward LOL.

Cheers,

Jack.

I agree that anybody who lets their Kids stop overnight with an Adult who is a total stranger (superstar or otherwise) needs to be charged either with child abandonment or neglect. I think some of these parents have put $$ signs or thoughts of their own career advancement through 'knowing' Michael Jackson before the safety of their own children, and that is pretty sad. Personally I wouldn't even leave a pet with somebody whom I didn't 100% trust and know would treat it well, let alone a child and I think the parents need to be charged - after all had they had not allowed their child to stay unaccompanied with a stranger then there never could have been the situation or allegation in the first place.

I think MJ needs to seriously review his lifestyle, you cannot even share the same bedroom with a child whom isn't a direct bloodline relative, let alone the same bed.

What about MJ staff PR people and bodyguards, aren't they supposed to look out for his interests?, why didn't somebody point this out or put a stop to his activities the first time it happened?.

Spot on Chris......

He`s an odd chap but his music is very good.. I was one of the lucky ones to get a ticket to his Bad tour when he was performing in Aintree and it was excellent.

From what I've read about the case, it seems MJ is completely surrounded by people who are out to make maximum financial benefit from being around him, whether they are a driver, housekeeper, cook, head of security, etc. He is the goose that laid the golden egg. Of course this view could be an extremely clever ruse designed to get him off the charges - "poor Michael - all of these leeches out to bleed him dry." I just don't know. It will be very interesting to see if he comes out with humility thinking "I don't EVER want to go through that again" or comes out gloating is suggested by various statements reportedly made today on his website.

Time will tell.

Cheers,

Jack.

My opinion: The man has been cleared of the alleged crime so let it lie.

He has been niave to say the least and I am sure he will find it hard to recover, but the Jury has spoken, he's now an innocent man.

I think we will all have our own views as to his behavior though.....
mick
I think that to be cleared on ten counts says it all, I think that this is a typical load of American legal system pooh.gif and a lot of people have made a lot of money out of this. I will play MJ tracks without any problem and believe me I ALWAYS get asked for something by him or the Jacksons. Let the dancefloor decide whether his music is still wanted is what I say. We will never know the truth but as CP says, the parents have to take some of the rap for all this. And I think all this stems from their Greed - Mick
