Even though its far too early for Brian Adams, our chart polls have made it to the summer (and Winter etc) of '69.

Plenty of good tunes to choose from here, several of which do get requested fairly regularly at family/multi-age gigs:

The Archies spent a sweet 8 weeks at No.1 with "Sugar Sugar", while The Beatles had "Get Back" at No1 for a very respectable 6 weeks. Rolf Harris (without his Stylophone) also managed to stay at No.1 for 6 weeks with "Two Little Boys", (No Michael Jackson cover jokes please!. rolleyes.gif). Holding the top spot for 5 weeks were The Rolling Stones' "Honky Tonk Woman", with the difficult-not-to-sway-to "Where do you go to my lovely" kept Peter Sartedt at the no1 spot for 4 weeks.

At the other end of the scale, the following tracks only made it to No1 for 1 week, proving that a good track doesnt always linger at the top spot for long:

Tommy Roe: Dizzy (yes, the track covered by Vic Reeves and co...)
Fleetwood Mac: Albatross - great guitar work - you'd know it, if you heard it.
Desmond Decker: The Israelites (my ears are alight / Vitalite)
Jane Birkin & Serge..: Je'Taime .... boff.gif (The "Relax" of its day).

Votes away!
