Professional Mobile Disco & Wedding Disco
Gary
Well, well, well, time for 1968's No.1s to come under the professional ears of DJU members.

Mary Hopkins held topped the charts (or was it The Hit Parade back then?) for a lengthy 6 weeks, with "Those were the days", knocking The Beatles: Hey Jude off the top spot, after only 2 weeks. Several artists notched up 4 weeks at No.1, including, Louis Armstrong: What a wonderful world, Union Gap feat. Gary Puckett: Young Girl, The Scaffold: Lili the pink and the Hugo Montenegro Orchestra with the theme from "The Good, The Bad and The Ugly". biggrin.gif 221.gif wacko.gif

Attaining only 3 weeks in the top spot, were Esther & Abi Ofarim: Cinderella Rockafella, Tommy James and The Shondells: Mony Mony, and without even a hint of UB40 or Pat O'Bantom, The Equals: "Baby Come Back".

But, vote now for the No.1 of your choice.

I'd say it's a toss-up between "Young Girl" and "Baby Come Back" - I play them both a lot.

Cheers,

Jack.
