hi all,
could anyone tell me if i use both outputs on the cd mix2 would it work ok.
ie: xlr output - FBT maxx4 active speakers
phono output - 2 or 4 passive speakers running through a amp
when i run just the actives it gets quite hot at the back. would running the extra speakers over power the unit.
thanks

These are wired in parallel, there should be no problem. The heating up is not as a result of any amplification, as there isn't any. This is purely the unit getting hot. I have seen this on several of the Newmark units. You could carefully install a fan...??

thanks for that kingy

thanks.
im using 4kw at the end of the month so using passive and active will make things a lot easier.

When running the unit, where do you position the external power supply? because if this is too close to the unit, then this can cause some heat problems.
dj007
hi ian,
im using the cdmix2 in the numark flight case that came with it so the power supply is inside the flight case with about a 2 inch gap for air.
Ian Stewart
Try taking the power supply out of the flight case when running
dj007
ok ian, ill give that a go next week.
thanks
