Seems to be the season for my gear to be breaking down! haha I have a soundlab cdj620 dual cd player, but the backlights for the screens have died, with the whole screens need replaced?

I think that Marky Marc (of DJU) got his CD-decks backlights replaced without the whole displays needing to be swapped out.

No you can just change the lamps but it's a fiddly job for the inexperienced as alot of the time the LCD panel has to be unsoldered (about 40 joints) and if you fit the wrong lamps you can damage the power supply or melt the diffuser.

They're usually series connected (3 or 4) so you have to generally change the whole batch.
