Please help me find the name of a tune, it's driving me quite potty wacko.gif

Here's the backstory........

Some of the you may remember the original Boddington's Cream of Manchester adverts from the late 80's or early 90's: the "By heck! You smell great tonight, Petal" one. It was the background music to that; very jazzy.

I forgot how good it was until I was flicking through the crap satellite channels about 3 years ago and found myself watching an episode of The Sweeney (Shut it!). Carter was in his pad, listening to a record. It was the same track as in the Boddington's advert.

So there you have it. I want to know the name of the track from the Boddington's advert.

Many thanks
Mark

Were MPeople around when they were filming The Sweeney? huh.gif

I thought that there was about a 10~15 year gap.

Music in Boddingtons commercials has included:

2004 Georgie Fame - Somebody Stole My Thunder

1999 Mike Flowers Pops Orchestra - Please Release Me

1999 King Bee - Back By Dope Demand

1999 Hollies, The - Stay

1999 Faithless - If Lovin' You Is Wrong

Thought that but don't the advert come from different eras then the programmes on those channels ?
BigBen
Didn't the KLF do a track too? They could have sampled a 70's song and it was that that appeared in The Sweeney originally?
DJ Kay
I've checked the advert sites and the ones listed are too late. It was around about the time of the Boddingtons Ice-cream van advert.
