Considering that this was the big year, the Y2K, the millennium etc, sung about (in other years) by Pulp, and Prince, and Will Smith..it was a pretty dismall (and expensive) year for music and DJ's, with no less than 43 tracks bouncing into the No.1 spot, and then bouncing out the week after...

The only tunes to stay at No.1 for more than one, solitary week in 2000, were:

Gabrielle: Rise (2 weeks)

All Saints: Pure Shores (2 weeks)

Fragma: Toca's Miracle (2 Weeks)

Modjo: Lady (Hear me tonight) (2 Weeks)

Mariah Carey & westlife: Against All Odds (2 weeks)

The following two tracks even managed a stunning 3 weeks at Number 1.

Sonique: It feels so good

Bob the Builder: Can we fix it?

A real year for the phrase; The good, the bad and the ugly...

Votes time...

Phew.. that was quite a good year for tunes I still play a lot:

All Saints: Pure Shores
Madonna: American Pie
Fragma: Toca's Miracle
Madison Avenue: Don't Call Me Baby
Black Legend: You See The Trouble With Me
Kylie Minogue: Spinning Around
Eminem: Real Slim Shady
Craig David: 7 Days
Robbie Williams: Rock DJ
Spiller: Groovejet (If This Ain't Love)
Madonna: Music
Modjo: Lady (Hear Me Tonight)
Destiny's Child: Independent Women Part 1
Eminem: Stan
Bob The Builder: Can We Fix It

Spiller: Groovejet (If This Ain't Love) brought back huge memories of the first year I started going to Ibiza. I also had this tune as an early advance promo, and the reaction at all the mobile discos was awesome - great memories cool.gif

Back to the topic, it really is down to 3 tunes:
Kylie Minogue: Spinning Around
Robbie Williams: Rock DJ
Modjo: Lady (Hear Me Tonight)

hmmm......

I go for Modjo: Lady (Hear Me Tonight) notworthy.gif

Yes, must agree.

But Groovejet is still popular, too.

I must admit to getting a surprising no. of requests for Ronan K. Life is a rollercoaster lately. 533.gif

Wow hard choice!

Black Legend/Barry White for me personally.

But it would have to be Rock DJ for the Disco and crowds
