...is repeated most throughout your collection?

I'm pretty sure I have about a dozen copies of YMCA across all my CD's. Closely followed by Maccarena!

Just checked my catalogue and found a 3-way tie between I Will Survive / Rock Your Baby / When A Man Loves A Woman with 7 of each. biggrin.gif

But, if you count different artists, the most versions of a song is in the irish selection, with 11 different renderings of Danny Boy, including Harry Belafonte ( an amazingly good one) and Jackie Wilson (diabolical fear.gif ).

Just checked my database

Energy 52 - Cafe Del Mar crops up at least a couple of dozen times but it has been re-released a few times and i do have various mixes of it.

The next most common seem to be

Las Ketchup - Ketchup Song
Kelly Llorenna - Tell It To My Heart
Flip & Fill - Shooting Star

Dunno, I have cleaned my collection so have only got one version of one song by the same artiste, I know I have about 7 versions ofMack The Knife by various people, but nothing duplicated.
DJ SPARKO
most of them in my collection from the 70s and a load of dance i.e dj remixes that sound virtually the same with very little variation. and these djs get paid a mounty 533.gif wallbash.gif

Off the top of my head, I did notice that I seem to have loads of copies of: Ben E King - Stand By Me

Other than that though, many of the so-called 'Party' albums have very similar material on them.

Ben E King - Stand By Me

The original was played as the theme song to the actual film. featuring/evoling around a few young kids who stuck together in friendship set in the 50s or 60s i think? was quite a good film

I don't have too many duplicates but I would guess Gloria Gaynor - I will survive is in my collection a few times.

I must have too much time on my hands. I just did a filter on my database & got some interesting results, some obvious, some not so

The top 20 is:

20) 11] Wild Cherry: Play that funky music
19=) 12] Las Ketchup: Ketchup song
Grease megamix
Wheatus: Teenage dirtbag
Jackie Wilson: Reet petite
15=) 13] KC & the Sunshine Band: That's the way I like it
Bill Withers: Lovely day
13=) 14] Madness: One step beyond
Westilfe: Uptown girl
11=) 15] Johnny Nash: I can see clearly now
Freda Payne: Band of gold
Ce Ce Peniston: Finally
8=) 16] Los Del Rio: Macarena
the Real Thing: You to me are everything
Rod Stewart: Maggie May
Toploader: Dancing in the moonlight
Village People: YMCA
4) 17] Ben E King: Stand by me
3) 18] Reef: Place your hands
2) 19] Gloria Gaynor: I will survive

And at Number 1......

with 20 different copies......

Van Morrison: Brown eyed girl

There were tons of tracks with 10, 9, 8, 7 & 6 copies, far too numerous to mention wacko.gif

That said in a database containing 35600 different tracks (with more to add), it's not too bad going!

I really need to get out more
