I've noticed that traditions vary from area to area with wedding discos so I wondered if you play the same sort of party songs ie, Wigwam Bam, Gimme some etc.........It would be interesting to see if the dance routines are different as well.

Sorry if I seem a bit sad, I keep threatening to get out more, make some friends, join a club or something!!!! laugh.gif

I don't think that I've played Wig Wam Bam more than twice in the last year...so you're right, things may well vary from area to area.

I'd say that YMCA seems to have a Christmas peak every year...but then dies of again by March. I think that certain "party" tracks dont die off instantly due to people(customers) at their next gig AFTER "john" made a complete pratt of himself at the Xmas Office do, request the same tune, just to put "john" on the spot again...

Blues Brothers Everybody seems to go down pretty well still, and if over half the dancefloor is full, I'll even risk popping my knee out of joint (Again!) by donning my BB Glasses and Hat and doing the dance routine for the punters...

Hi ho silver lining...works most gigs, as does "You're the one that I want" from grease, Both with music dipped at the appropriate points for sing-a-longs...

Rocking all over the world...out with the air guitars...

S Club 7 - (now S club zero) Reach for the stars...

Geri / Weather Girls - It's raining men... always good taking an instant audience vote on which version to press "PLAY" on, if you've got both versions and enough CD decks to cope.

New York, New York..... Ol' Black eyes (if you hit him twice) perfect end of the night -stand in a line-arms over neighbours shoulders, high kicking, stumble into the DJ's gear... sort of record... but still a slowie for those romantics who are after every opportunity to play Tonsil Hockey in pubic tongue.gif (did I miss an "L" out there? nono.gif )

about 10 years ago, Jo from s Club was working the same talent show trek in SE Essex that my wife was.

not only did my wife win the comps (but look mwhere she went)

I know some tasty bits about her censored.gif censored.gif censored.gif
