I have a pair of Puma’s & I’ve been very impressed with them. The only down side is they use 250W bulbs and as most people know the standard bulbs don’t last very long. We have managed to get some long life bulbs from Chris ‘P’ we haven’t put them in yet just waiting for the old ones to blow first.

why does everyone buy pumas instead of panthers? I prefer a scanning version?

Acme Panther’s at £189 each, nono.gif where as the Acme Puma’s were only £225 for the pair might have something to do with it! thumbup.gif
It did for me, not everyone is made of money tongue.gif

Fair enough,

are the lights quite compact, I like the puma's and may go for them but I aint buying until christmas 2004 so there is no point planning ahead for that long

The Chauvet Fascination looks like a good light. Os basically the same as Magic Gobo but a little cheaper.
