Re the joseph lock, a few years ago there was a film called hear my song about his life,

as you are from Essex, try the worlds biggest (by number of titles in stock) record store, Adrians In Wickford

If you're referring to the Irish tenor, Josef Locke, you can find a couple of his songs on the double CD/Vinyl:
"The best Irish album in the world ever"
I think it was a version of Danny Boy and another one.
