It seems that many manufacturers are putting a lot of emphasis into "hey our new turntable is even better for scratching" where, unless Im just living a more sheltered live, the actual "call" for scratching, seems to have dropped off considerably.

My answer to the above poll was "Just a few seconds once/twice a night, as a mix/link" normally with the brief moment of scratchng only faded over the top of a normally playing track anyway.

I used to get a fair amount of requests/questions about "Err Mister? can you scratch? gaw on, do some den!! Wicked!" at teenagers birthdays, but scratching even seems to have lost its appeal in that age bracket too.

But, what about the rest of you? Do you scratch at all? (First person to mention skin conditions or fleas etc, gets a point deducted.... biggrin.gif

I put Several bursts per night of 30 secs or more but thats only on my club nights when im mobiling its very rare that i would scratch at all.
