LOL - Some people want the moon on a stick
The retail price of the Cosmic Shuttle is £499, thats what my competitors are selling it for!. I'm already offering it for £375 if I knock anymore off I'll be giving it away!.
The Bazooka is a better buy. This goes for £399, or £469 for the DMX version. The Bazooka is 30mw output which is far birghter than the 20mw Shuttle, it also does more patterns and effects than the shuttle.
Having said that I will be offering a dual green laser, and an amazing graphics based 100mw Green version which can project your roadshow name etc - all at very competitive prices!.
To be honest AJ, as you are somebody new to the business, I still think that your money would be better spent on advertising and promoting your business, as I advised you on MSN. What is the point of spending £300 - £400 and mega effects, if you have very few bookings then what is the point of buying the latest "toys". Better to spend the money on getting your name around, and getting future work, and THEN spending money on the latest effects.
A Disco is like any small business, ideally your income should be more than your outgoing expenses - otherwise its pointless being in business in the first place!. Okay you have the initial outlay for the equipment to start up, but the gear that you already have is perfectly adequate for functions, in fact you have better gear than some people that I know locally who have been in business for 20 years!.
You don't need the latest Gadgets to compete, if people don't know your roadshow exist's in the first place, then why would buying a laser make any difference?. You should be thinking and working towards new idea's of promoting your business, then when you have 1 / 2 bookings a week or more for the next few months, only then start spending money on gear

Ideally this budget of yours, should be spent on increasing your music database, Promoting your business - Advertising in the local paper for example. Getting business cards printed, Getting insurance and PLI sorted, maybe even joining the TVDJA. All of these come before buying new equipment.
