Allright there gang im kind of new to this forum but its top notch.
Anyway about gigs, I am dj’n about 4 to 5 years now I am not really a mobile dj but I do a few allright I mainly prefer the clubs.
I just took a break over the last year due to an illness I had but I am ready to get back into things now.
I am living in Ireland in a city called Waterford its in the south east and it has a lot of
Nightclubs and disco bars and there is a lot of them in the city.
I am after doing up my own mix cd with about 4 mini mixes of different styles of music and we have our own single we put together a few months ago and I put a lot of effort in to the mixes I done and I’m not blowing my own trumpet or anything but the are mixed very good and its mainly commercial stuff or chart stuff cos most of the clubs in the city are cheesy.
In the last 2 months I am after posting off at least 10 demo discs and a small covering letter just from the experience I had the place I was in before closed so that’s why I am not back there.
But I am on the verge of giving up dose anyone have any experience of this or have any other ideas what I can do it would be really helpful thanks.

For me, a 'profile' of yourself would help to add weight to the disc.

Get some business cards and think positive.

Many clubs and the like receive 'offers' of DJ'ing from all sorts - you just need to get the attention of the right person at the right time.

You may get knock backs and un-answered telephone calls and letters, but, keep trying.

Once your in - your in!!!

Do you both CD and vinyl for Djing?
