These are active speakers i think...
If so you will need a power lead to each one and a signal lead from your mixer main output to each speaker......
Use high quality balanced XLR leads as these will give a better sound

HZ PB300 is an active sub with an average SPL of 120 dB, peaking atSPL 125 dB
(Dispertion > 180° ). The weight is about 17 Kg and they have dual XLR In/Out - Line Level 0dB 775mV
Frequency Response is 40 Hz - 250 Hz
They were designed to provide active sub bass enclosures to compliment the successful PE range of loudspeakers.
They would have cost about £450 when new (each)
I have a HZ system consisting of 2 x PE300 and 1 x SB500 and it sounds OK
Your bass speaker(s) are plastic moulded, like to PE/HE/PEMIX range of HZ speakers.
I wouldn't mind one.................

i paid £80 each for them, theyre about 4 months old. Whats the best way to run them?
Do i run them by themsleves and take the tops off a seperate amp, and if so does that mean i have to have a splitter for the two xlr outputs on my mixer? i use a behringer 1622 ub fx. Or do Ii run the sub in mono with just one and have my tops in stereo
any setting up advice would be greatly appreciated. thank you

Have you got two amps ?
Yes...........
All you will need to do is run the subs off one amo, and the tops off another, you would need to bridge the amps
No.............
Run you speakon cable to the bass bin, then link it with another speakon to your tops.
What top speakers have you got ?
BTW £80 each.I'll give you £200 for the pair !!

i've just looked on a few websites and there around £450 each, so i have to pass on your more than genorous offer, but thank you anyway but i do thank you for your advice onwiring them up. I haven't tested them yet, they might not work, if they do you can buy my brand new skyec 300 watt bass ins though if you like, never been gigged, only a month old, and there yours for £80 + carriage.
