Chris. I know you aren't into second hand gear but I would appreciate some advice.
I have come by 8 Coemar Spartans- they came out of a club.
I have never seen them advertised - are they still made?
I think they are a bit too big and heavy for a mobile rig; they would be better in a permanent set up. Do you think there isa any real value in them.
I hope this doesnt break any of the site rules

Oh Yes, the old faithfull Spartans. Basically an 80's high powered glorified pinspot. They are more of a club effect rather than a Mobile Disco Effect - due to the actual size. Some of the imported "Mushroom" effects do a very similar (but less reliable) effect.

Coemar, is a good example of the word "reliability", their effects, even the older ones were built to last, unlike some of the Tat around today!. So, provided that they've been serviced and looked after then they should last for years. There isn't much in a Spartan to go wrong anyway!.

But in this case, size is an issue and they are very big and bulky and may look out of place on a small rig, but, again, this is just personal opinion / choice!.
