Hi 042.gif
I have been using a pair of ego 2's & a pair of ego 3's for a few months now.
I must say the 3's are a better effect and I tend to use those all the time with a mini controller.
Great for putting some colour across a room. biggrin.gif
The 2's you can have your own logos put in them which I have'nt got round to doing yet. They are ok and have a choice of 2 effects built in.
They are very light weight which was a big factor for me (being an old wrinkley) so I sold off my 4 old trusty Chamileons and find the new Egos are fine.
Anything I buy now from pA to lights has to be compact and lightweight
I get fed up with humpin around.
(Paula Humpin EQUIPMENT is what I am talking about just in case you see an oportunity for violence) 071.gif

hi there,

thanks for the advice.
Just a quick question, out of the Ego 2 and 3, which is the best for putting out beams? as in definition -

I like my disco to have a good strong out-put of light, i dont like moonflower effects that arent bright.

I have seen the Ego-3 but i wasnt sure if it has a good beam projection mainly because the effect is more of a projector rather than a moonflower.

thanks

Hi Ade 042.gif
Both 2 & 3 have strong colours and are bright
2 has the more defined gobos whereas 3 is a kalidascope effect but seems to paint the room better
Looking back at both units from the dance floor they appear to have similar beams
if that makes sense blink.gif
They are very light weight to carry
Personally buying again I would buy 3's but that is personal taste
Chris may be able to get them but I seem to recall he does not stock them and discount is difficult on Martin kit wacko.gif
Hope that helps

cheers !
thanks for the fast responce

have u seen the Ego 1 !!?

Also, u said you have a mini controller,
can u help me here.
The small blue button is a on/off button i think, and the knob at the bottom, now is that just for spead slow and fast?

is it speed for the rotation, or the moving of gobos on the wheel? and then the spining of the whole effect works on sound 2 light?

cheers

Ade

( im angry that the 3 EVL spins i have , have started to have people ask me for the srobe effect to be turned off, and i cant )

cheers

Hi Ade
Seen Ego 1 but not very interested in it

Re controller
Yep the blue button is blackout
Fans still working

The lower control is black out to the left
then acts as a dimmer and as you keep turning clock wise
it also starts a rotation of the effects and increases the moving gobo speed

I take it the EVL's are not DMx then Ade? If they are, you only have to find out which dipswitch it is on the master to lose the strobing effect from all that are linked to it. (I think its dipswitch 10 but I stand to be corrected, memory going and all that)
