OK firstly a moan...

I bought this cd - http://www.play.com/play247.asp?pag...CD&title=138033

It was from ebay so i only paid £6.49, but the problem is that about 40% of the tracks are "re-recorded" and are not the originals so i don't really want to use them.. some are pretty awful!

Anyway, what I wanted to know was how i can tell this before buying the CD? Apart from going to HMV and hunting for the CD to look at the back cover. Also, I thought it was only markets and supermarkets that sold these types of CDs... i'm a bit annoyed that play.com have it on their site!

OK, second part...

I'm after a good collection of love songs for valentines discos this year... I'm ok for modern stuff as I've got all the now albums since NOW 34 so I'll be able to find plenty of tracks on there. I just want some of the more "classic" love songs.. so if anyone can recomend a good compilation or two then I'd be very grateful.

I got something from DMC/Mastermix called The Love Song Box Set of 5 CD's for about £40

For the classic 'love songs' I use master mix ballad box, over 4 cds covering 50's onwards. I think they is a volume 2 aswell now???

You'll be spoilt for choice for the love compilations this time of year....last years love song album releases repackaged for 2005

Music Factory have 3 options, Ballad Box I & II ( Both 4 disc sets) and Classic Cuts "Modern Love" ( a dual cd). I recommend these as well as the DMC 4 disc love set.
