I did a wedding tonight, for a bloke who's well into Soul. He was adamant that he wanted no cheese. It was a pleasure to work tonight, as most of the crowd were really into music, it's always great to play for a crowd who really appreciate music. The gig went superbly; we even had a Chinese Elvis suddenly appearing for a 30 minute set!?! .. his name is Paul 'the wonder of' Hyu
At the end of the gig a bloke, who looked pretty loaded, came up to me and asked how much I charge. I told him that prices start from around 3 and a half and go up depending on a number of factors. Without flinching he replied, "3 and a half grand, OK"
Instinctively, I said no, 350 pounds, but if I wasn't so damn honest this bloke was willing to pay 3 and a half grand for me to do his wedding!?!
