What I did mind was when he decided to turn his "swan lake" into a fan dance by reaching into one of my 12inch single boxes and grabbing two records at random. Alas, he didnt have hold of the open end of the sleeve (lets face it, he only had a 1in4/25% chance, in the first place...) and so a 12inch frisbee was created.
Vinyl 12'' Records are fairly resilient as endangered species go, but unfortunately chair legs are not exactly brittle now, are they...
Thankfully, without prompting, the guy handed me back both (now three) records, both sleeves, and .... a £5 note. Not a bad trade for a record which only gets played at "selected" moments - however, there are certain tracks in my collection which I know a £5 note wouldnt have met the replacement costs for, let alone sentimental value - even assuming that the track could be found anywhere, anyway.
What tracks do you have in your collection that you would hate to loose, get damaged for any reason...be it replacement cost, rare track, collectability, frequent plays etc...?
