Had to get to the gig the night before to HALF set up, could completely set up as it would take too much room (one hours drive there and another to get home again)
Got to the gig on Friday evening to set up other half, casino table in the way, moved everything aboput a bit and squeezed in. Bass bin not working. Start at 6pm, nobody arrives until 7.30pm. Food therefore later and disco starts properly at 11pm. After food all but about 15 guests go next door to a club. One hour gig to 15 people.
Finish
Go to van, somebody has knocked my headlight, breaking it, causing more damage to the indicator.
Fix with gaffa tape to get me home.
Halfway home no water iin tank, obvoiusly damaged radiator as well as headlight and indicator.
Call recovery van and wait for 45 minutes in pouring rain to get recovered to garage.
Recovery man then agrees to take me home (3am) but cannot get into our village as truck is too big, have to walk last half a mile.
Home at 3.30am to get back to the garage (where I luckily work) at 8am to finish work at 1pm to start work on my van until it is time to get to tonights gig.
I'm not having a good weekend and it's a bank holiday.

Can only sympathise mate, fortunately nights like that are the exception rather than the norm.

Did'nt play 'Three wheels on my wagon' or 'Road to nowhere' during the night did you?

Hmm, the mind boggles... I wonder if any of those uses you could substitute gaffa tape for handcuffs
