Basically, you have the two cd players,(both have cds in so u can mix!! tongue.gif )

To cue up a song (depends on make) press play/pause button on first beat (I can't really tell you this in writing but to give you an idea it's when vocals normally start)

Then to get to the right point use search buttons-this accuratley starts were you want it (you may here it making it a weird noise in headphones like a cd jumping this is the sound of the first beat huh.gif !!)

This is then cued

Play other cd till the first beat arrives then press play!!

To alter tempo (pitch) slide the pitch slider up and down to change tempo-there are also pitch bend buttons that simulate your fingers on turntables to speed up or slow down quickly but there not very good!!

Need anymore info post back!! biggrin.gif

Easy.

Get 2 dance / beat cd's exactly the same (track).
Start both together.
Raise both channels on mixer.
Are they in time with each other?
Club / Mobile DJ's work either in 16 beat measures, 32 or 8, depending on the intro if 4/4 time. (1,2,3,4 beats or 1,2,3,4....14,15,16)
Now try counting the beats for the chosen track.
Normally after 8 or 16 beats, a change in the music, be it singing or another instrument is added.
When you count 16 or 8 beats in - on the 1st beat of the next set of 16/8 beats, start the other cd.
For perfect mixing, you may need to adjust the intro with the CUE feature, taking the start of the bass beat right onto the play button start.
Experiment again.
Pitch control will adjust tempo of the cd tracks.
Think of 2 cars racing on the road.
If 1 car is slightly behind (in beat terms) it needs to be 'sped-up'.
Try adjusting in steps of 2-4-6 and 8%, then fine adjust to the . (point percentage).

When you are confident of crossfading in this example - and you can't tell the difference which tune is playing, in effect, you are mixing.
That's when you progress to other different tunes.
Note:
Some tunes are recorded either high or lower in volume. If your mixer can adjust for this (Gain) please do so before you pump up the volume - it will protect your speakers!
Read info on 'clipping' elswhere on the forum threads / search!!!

Just thinking, if you can't get to grips with mixing - try a mix disc like Mastermix series.

Good luck.

The great thing with cd decks, is that it tells you how long you have left of a track-by using this you can find out the beat per minute (bpm)

run the track you want to mix in-start counting the beats from any time for 10 seconds

Eg:
0.30seconds-start counting
0.40seconds-stop counting

The number you get up to (eg 10 beats) multiply this by 6 =(60bpm)

Then compare to the song playing-then if it is to slow speed it up etc

This will give you your beats per minute-its only rough but when I first started mixing it just gave me a quick idea!! biggrin.gif

Happy mixing tongue.gif
