well 79p from iTunes is still a bit cheaper than most legal download sites here in the UK but i agree that single downloads via the net are quite steep moneywise. napsper = 99p mad.gif a rip off. I'll be glad if iTunes are forced to lower their prices because 79p is a bit steep as well if you require purchasing at least 10 to 20 tracks a week or something smile.gif

Success! thumbup.gif .

I pointed this out previously in respect of the US vs UK Price, and the fact that the US site blocks IP's from other countries.

Good to see that companies are being challenged for this rip-off Britain approach, where it seems that residents here are considered fair game for higher prices. Lets hope other download sites take heed.

yeah i hope napster follows suit. ive been told by someone i know who wokrs in the music industry that record companies pay napster to put their artists music available for download so napster shouldnt be charging no where near the best part of a £1 per track! nono.gif

I think its a bit silly, you can go and buy a now cd from a super market for £13 and get abour 40 songs. Off the internet it would cost you £20 (if the songs where 50p) and you dont get the CD or the cover or the case and you cant take it back if you dont like it.... though for those weird and wonderfull tunes it can be usefull.....
