One of my mixers is an American DJ Q Deck Q2221 Profomer Plus. I occasionally get a problem with one of the channels not working until I have given it a good drive but once cleared it is OK. This is an intermittent fault but I am concerned it is a more serious problem in the making, any help please. I have checked all the leads and outputs and believe this is an integral problem.

When you say one of the channels - is it one of the input channels (eg No 1) or one of the outputs (left or right). Intermittent faults can be caused by dry joints/poor connections and also by thermally sensitive components. Unless you're technically minded you'd be better off taking it to a local repairer. One thing is certain - these sort of faults only get worse.

Its the output on the left hand channel .. An you are right, time to take it to the repair shop.
