Well, if you were following my other thread you may know that I am looking for a mixer to go along with my new tables.

The good news is the local music store can order any brand except numark.

All they have available in stock is a Stanton sk-one and an sk-5, as well as a higher end pioneer.

I have decided to go with a cheap mixer for now, want to spend under or arround $200.

Chris, Gemini guy or anyone else have any suggestions.

Hi Ryan

As I'm a guest here it's not right for me to "sell" Gemini. However what I would say is that you don't appear to be getting much choice from your local dealer.

As Chris says, he doesn't deal outside the UK, so you really need to find a store or site that can offer you more. Go on the Gemini Web site geminidj.com and you'll find a list of dealers by area that will stock Gemini plus other makes.

I can tell you that, us and our major competitors offer quality for reasonable prices. (Stick with the big names on this one). You don't have to pay big Bucks for quality. Just make sure you get a mixer that will cover your needs. If you want 19" for mobile or production, look at PMX-1400 or similar. If you want compact (maybe for Hip Hop) check out PS-540i or PS-626i. (Again - or equivalents). Aren't we fair minded?!

Good luck and happy DJ'ing! Remember - 4 Beats to a Bar - and you won't go wrong thumbup.gif

They can order your products, as well as any other major brand.

BTW, as of right now I am going to help out the local pro djing store, not the mentioned music store, and probably get one through them. They are hurting for business and if they go I will lose my primary source of vinyl.

Doh. Take more time to read in future! Was thinking you only got offered two brands. Good thinking re supporting the DJ store. Also, think who'll give you best backup and advice.

Good luck.
