When your out over the UK this christmas, what top tunes will make the audiance at your function jump to the dance floor and celebrate the festive season? What songs will you be playing for all those happy holiday partyers?

The first that comes to my mind is Brenda Lee- Rockin around the Christmas Tree

Band Aid - Do they know its Xmas

Are there no other dancy christmas hits?
Tonsk
If people want an older/waltzy type track then

The Most Wonderful Time Of The Year - Andy Williams normally goes well.

But the majority of dancy ones are:

Step Into Christmas - Elton
All I Want For Christmas - Mariah Carey
Pogues - Fairytale of New York and
Merry Christmas Everyone - Shakin Stevens...

Other than that, none I can really think of, but then I dont have the Xmas CDs infront of me.....

Play non stop Christmas tracks by way of background music during the meal! By the time the disco starts.... everyone has had their fill of Christmas tunes (which are by and large, pretty awful, let's face it thumbdown.gif ) and it is very rare that a request is made for one to actually dance to thumbup.gif

Christmas........ yucky.gif Bah Humbug!!! (apart from the hefty pay cheque drool.gif )

A nice little novelty record this Christmas is:

"I'd like to give you one for Christmas"

Sung by "Hotpants" boff.gif

Good video too...
Kingy
I use an old Mastermix on issue 112 Track 2.

Lasts for about 6 minutes and does all the usual suspects. I follow that with White Christmas and the snow and then its night night from me!

Bah Humbug!

AND if anyone offers me more Christmas Pudding.................. fear.gif

We have a cd called Have A Base Christmas.

You should hear the version of Silent Night. First played it at a football club a couple of years ago and they loved it!
