I have just bought a pair of these and have been playing around with them.
They came with a blackout controller which only does what it says.

What i have found is that on their own sound to light program they only ever show half of their gobo's and only appear to have one short built in program. I have left them on for a long time and restarted them over and over but never get more than half the gobo's(always the same ones).
I sent an email off to chauvet and they assure me that this is perfectly normal and if I want the most from the lights then I must purchase a dmx controller.

Thats fine but that is also another significant outlay and there is no mention of any of this on the boxes or in the very basic manual.

I do like the lights and they have a good response to sound but I cant help feeling a little disappointed.

Does anyone have any experience of these lights? 533.gif

Yes I have them and the built in program is pants. Get yourself a cheap dmx controller with s2l and spend a little time programming them for much better results.

I have a pair of omega 2's aswell and i think they are great for the money, when you run them in a smoke filled room the effect they produce is incredible, with bright beams and great respone to sound. i can relate to what you say about the built in programming, i have found that my lights only display half the available gobos in stand alone mode aswell, but when i hook up to a dmx board they just come alive, my advice is also, buy a cheap dmx board, you will be truly amazed at the difference it makes, hope this helps
