I saw Ross Noble on tour last year. Before the show and during the interval they played some music that was simply hilarious. Well, the band have made it to the radio, so I've managed to find out who it was - Hayseed Dixie.

Check them out, try listening to some stuff. Their first album was entitled "A Hillbilly tribute to AC/DC". The follow-up, LEt There be Rockgrass" is a general tribute to rock music - I Believe in a Thing Called Love, Walk This Way, Fat Bottom Girls and The Ace of Spades feature.

This is gold, top quality, crowd pleasing buffet music folks. If you like people asking "what on earth is that?", in a good way, then get a copy.

Available at all HMV stores and other leading outlets... smile.gif

They're currently touring - Norway for the next few nights then back to Blighty, finishing in Scotland.

With any luck they'll do a Christmas album next year!

Yeeeee-ha!!

For me Ross is by far the best Stand Up in the UK at the moment, no 2 performances are the same, and every 2-3 months the act evolves into a new show.

If you get the chance go & see Ross Live

Darned right Mr S. I see loads of live comedy and Ross is one of the best. His analysis of the most unusual things is beyond comprehension and as you say, his act is more a meander through his pysche than a stand-up routine.

Must mention Eddie Izzard though. He is my favourite comedian - his comedy stretches from highly intelligent to the opposite end of the spectrum (DJ level???).

Going back to Ross Noble, did you hear the Hayseed Dixie album being played at your gig?

A Hayseed Dixie megamix is on one of the mastermix monthly discs. I played it at a Bonfire night disco thingy I did whilst people were outside, it's true class!
NiM
A quick google tells me Mastermix Issue 220..
