Ok, we're normally the last ones to leave a venue...except for that creepy ol' caretaker, Old man Smithers...we're out late at night...theres normally a few stragglers who have partaken of the alcohol...we see some things...

Take this example...not scary, just weirdly, wierd !

Two summers ago...in the midst of the wedding season...strangely enough (8 or ) 9 months before the Christening season...Hmmm

The reception went well, we packed away by about 2am, the hotel staff cleared the function room out, and I was left packing away...there was this helium filled balloon left over...I'd had it behind the disco all night for some prank or another...

Now this balloon needs a little description, for reasons that become evident later... Pink satin lustre...white and pink ribbons hanging down about 3ft...tangled about half way down...pink ribbon thicker, but shorter than the white...

I wander over to the Fire Exit which led to the courtyard, and gave this balloon its freedom...(NOT wrapping it in tin foil first, in order to send the local RAF base onto Defcon 2...thats another story...)

And, off to my hotel bed, I wander...

Next morning...I set back off home...which was about an hours drive for me...45 minutes into the drive, I get to Newbury, Berks...I slow down, approaching the Sainsburys roundabout ...there hovering 30ft above the other lane, is a balloon...a Pink satin lustre balloon, with white and pink ribbons hanging down about 3ft...tangled about half way down...pink ribbon thicker, but shorter than the white...

"Hullo, is that Agent Scully????".....



But....what about the rest of you....? Anything para-normal, or just plain weird, that you've seen after a gig....?

..spooky!!! I find it really scary that I start off the night looking well glam but by the end of the gig I look as if Ive been dragged through the proverbial hedge.... do you think I am possessed by a mad woman at the witching hour?

Well the ladies have a tougher time of it...I mean...dragging the headphones on and off the hair-do all night....cant be a proven way to health hair...

I'm quite intrigued by the Paranormal (When I can get away from this forum!), and once went to an event orgainised by the Living TV Series "Most Haunted". I won't go into details, but if you ever get the chance, and you are around Staffordshire, then visit Tutbury Castle. I'm a sceptic - but there was definitely "something" in that place, and it gave me the creeps!.

As for the paranormal....how about this...I once felt compeled to watch "The Omen" no less than 13 times in one weekend....

We have a regular spot at 'The Castle'. A guinine one built in the 16th century with a history of ghosts.
Well it was Friday 13th so I thought it would be a laugh to mention this and rattle a few chains. For the rest of the night it was fault after fault - at least I had an excuse - I blamed the spirits - but in future I'll say nothing and respect the ones that went before us.
I also now use this as my primary excuse when anything goes wrong at any gig - 'I'm sorry but last week (month) we took the mick out of the castle ghost - now it's pay back time'

Mind you given the choice, i'd much prefer Yvette Fielding as my Roadie anyday

I remember doing a gig upstairs at a fitness gym,god knows how it come about but anyway, comes to the end of the night and I ask the roadie if everything's in the van although he said yes I still like to double check myself. So up the stairs I go, the main lights are off but there is glow from the sreet light outside.As I'm heading back towards the staircase I hear the creak of the punch bag swinging in the middle of a boxing ring. As you can imagine I went down the stairs slightly quicker than normal. Once at the bottom I shouted to the owner we were done and he came over to lock up. As we were leaving I heard more clumping about stairs, so I turned to the owner who was locking the door and said are you sure there's no-one left in the building? with which he replied Oh no that'll be the ghost!!!! He told me there was a young lad who used to box at his gym was killed in a tragic accident. He was stood on the pavement talking to his mates when a lad on a motor bike came past , he lost control and ploughed into the lad killing him instantly. The strange thing was I knew the lad he was a good friend and I was actually at the scene two hours after it had happened!!

Sleep welll and don't have nightmares!!!!!!
