OK KARAOKE
Use a karaoke track and get the victim`s family to sing it to them. At the same time set up your Minidisc or camcorder to record the event. Could be useful in the future. rolleyes.gif
From what you say it sounds like you have the Mastermix DJ Box. (Disc 1, track 11). That`s the one I use most times.. serves the puprpose.

just get the audience to sing.

all you have to do is sing the " happy birthday to" and they will do the rest.

make it a big feature they'll love it

..Hi Paula, there is a "DJ box Set" - which has a really good "Happy birthday" on it - I use it all the time...
Dukesy
Don't you think that it's sometimes 'nicer' for the birthday bod to be sung to by the family and friends?

It's really funny when the 'true friends' sing up and the family act 'laid back'!!!

The MM Disc has been brilliant for a while now - but I agree with tonyJ. Right mood beckons right choice: record or live singing!

..best of both worlds with dj box set .... mostly background singing so you get the crowd to sing over the music and there is even a gap so you can sing the birthdays persons name

Hi pppppinnochio! biggrin.gif Not that big of a deal if you make a small "white" lie biggrin.gif as long as you don't make it all farfetched...

I have been using a Happy birthday track for years now that has 2 choruses with a bit in the middle about"good friends and true, old friends and new"As most people havent heard it before, I end up singing the middle verse on my own, which tends to take everyone by surprise. But it always goes down well

Thats what i was going to say

" everybody after 3 ... 1...2....3 Happy birthday to you"

just sing the 1st line

the audience always take over.
