I like to play interesting foot tapping background music both before and during the buffet. To this end I've been digging around for something to fit the bill and I happened across a site called Good Music.

They have lots of big band stuff and a great Woody Allen album as well (The Moose is one of my all time favourite comedy sketches!). My problem with them is that the few bits I want are very expensive. They also don't tell you if it's a stock item or not, and then they charge £7 for a two-day delivery!

The following are two of the items I am particularly interested in:
The Best of The Temperance Seven
Essential Military Music

I like the first because of it's 20's feel (i.e. dancing The Charleston) and the second because it has recognisable singalong tunes for both younger and older generations.

Is anyone able to suggest alternatives - preferably same quality but cheaper? Or, to get this sort of stuff do you have to play by their rules?

Thank you all in advance.

Hi

Try Amazon.co.uk for a start. I've gotten plenty of the les mainstream stuff from there, e.g. songs from the 30's and 40's, a 4 disc box set of Glen Miller etc. they do tons of big band stuff as well.
