If you enjoy the gigging and entertainment life, like me, you probably have a vast lyric or musical knowledge on certain areas, be it Motown, Soul, Dance, Novelty, Pop, 80's & 90's, Rock n Roll etc...
With that vast mental ability to recite word for word the lyrics of thousands of tunes, why not have a bit of fun?
Write a song. A verse or ditty. Maybe you like using a sequencer or live instrument. Create something. If you already have - why hide it?
Yes, many of the forum users are knowledgable - witty - goodlooking - poor - rich etc....!!!!
But most of all - talented.

Music speaks an international language - emotions are stretched, plucked and pulled with uplifting words or sentiment in notes and voice.
I think every DJ or KDJ are much more than they are recognised as, or, expected of.

So why not share that ability. Express yourself!! Submit a lyric. Perhaps we could join on and add a new line each?
Maybe, if you can write a song, say for a woman to sing, Paula might like to have a go and sing it - or even record it?
Or, if you dabble in re-editing and original notation - perhaps we could listen to the tune, or, contribute to a 'djsunited theme'? (But that would mean working together - can u dig it?!?)

It's a thought. An idea for perhaps all of us to have a major dabble in.
You don't need expensive studio's and rigs. Just yourself.

I would like to take the opportunity to thank Chris for allowing me to join - and look forward to my next (God help us) 100 posts!
Cheers everybody - let the music play!

Example ditty approx 3am on Saturday 11th May

A ditty....ode to da forum (underground toilet flush siamese back to back remix)

Paula is a singer - she comes from the smokey south
I understand she's popular - I heard it word of mouth
Mikeee is a moderator, Spindoctor is too...
And as for Chris at Admin Towers - he checks all stuff thats new
The DJ's are United - they play from Trance to Soul
But if they were a Football Team - who would play in goal?
I know who'd be a striker, and who'd play 4-3-3
But can You guess who dribbles best by playing referee?
The DJ's are United - they play from here and there
Most have got medallions and Stringfellow type hair
The DJ's are United - they like to have a laugh
But most of all, they make you crawl - by shouting out

NOT 'ARF!

(to be taken light hearted)
mikeee

Example 2 (light hearted again folks)

Stop -a-doodle-do mate
That tune, sounds great
I could sing it - in the bath
Or on the toilet - yeah - not 'arf!
Shaggy's Mr Boombastic
Is Fabby-tanny-taster-tic
I cant wait to flip me back and hear, me, roll.

It's Bachman Turner Overdrive
Sensationaly recorded live
I know that we had never met
But You Ain't Seen, Nothing, Yet!

It's nearly four in the morning
And once more - here comes the morning
It's time to stop-a-doodle-do
To go to bed, via the loo

Nose-a-pickin-tastic mate
That Tune - it really did sound great
Slamin-dunk The funk mate
Lets go to bed - because pop pickers - it's late!
